01What are the requirements to rent a car in Singapore?

To rent a car in Singapore, drivers must be at least 23 years old, and possess a valid driving licence with a minimum of two years’ driving experience. Singaporeans are required to hold a valid local driving licence and NRIC, while foreigners must present a passport and a driving licence in English. For Employment Pass holders, their foreign driving licence must be converted to a Singapore licence within one year from the date of pass issuance.

02Can I rent a car with a foreign driving license?

Foreigners staying in Singapore for less than 12 months will need to produce a valid foreign driving license and an International Driving Permit (IDP). If an IDP is not available, a translation of your foreign driving license may be required.

03What documents do I need to bring for car rental?

You will need:

  • Valid driving licence - Singaporeans must provide a local driving licence, while foreigners are required to hold an International Driving Permit.
  • Singaporeans must present their NRIC, and foreigners must provide their passport.
  • Foreign hirers are required to submit a bill or official document reflecting their local residential address for verification purposes.
04How much is the security deposit?

The security deposit varies by vehicle type and rental duration. We only accept PayNow and Bank Transfer at the moment.

  • Short-term rentals (hourly to weekly): $500 deposit
  • Monthly rentals: 1 month’s rental as deposit
  • 1-year lease: 1 month’s rental as deposit
  • 2-year lease: 2 months’ rental as deposit
  • Refund: Deposit will be refunded within 7 working days upon return of the vehicle in good condition.

    05Can I extend my rental period?

    Yes, subject to vehicle availability. Please contact us at least 24 hours before your scheduled return time to arrange the extension.

    Category 02 ERP & Payment Systems In-Vehicle Units, cash cards, and ERP gantries
    01What is an On-Board Unit (OBU) and do I need it?

    An OBU is a device that stores a cash card with monetary value. When you travel on roads with ERP gantries, the OBU beeps and deducts the appropriate charge. All our vehicles come equipped with OBU units.

    02How do I pay for ERP charges?

    ERP charges are paid through a stored-value card in the OBU, or via credit card through Motorpay. The second-generation OBU accepts Contactless NETS CashCard and CEPAS-compliant cards (EZ-Link, NETS).

    03Do I need to top up the cash card myself?

    Yes. You are responsible for ensuring the cash card has sufficient value for ERP and parking charges during your rental period. Top-ups are available at convenience stores, MRT stations, or through mobile apps.

    04What happens if the IU malfunctions?

    Contact us immediately. We will arrange a replacement or guidance on alternative payment. Note that you may be liable for ERP fines if charges cannot be processed due to a malfunction.

    01Are there any driving restrictions I should know about?

    Singapore has strict traffic laws:

    • Drive on the left side of the road
    • Mandatory seatbelt use for all occupants
    • Zero tolerance for drink driving
    • Heavy penalties for mobile phone use while driving
    • ERP charges apply during peak hours in designated zones
    02Can I drive to Malaysia with a rental car?

    Most rental agreements restrict cross-border travel. If you need to drive to Malaysia, please inform us during booking — special arrangements and additional insurance will be required.

    03What if I get a traffic violation or parking ticket?

    You are responsible for all traffic violations and parking fines incurred during the rental period. We will forward any notices to you, and administrative fees may apply for processing.

    04Are there speed limits I should be aware of?
    • 50 km/h — regular roads
    • 70–90 km/h — expressways
    • 40 km/h — school zones

    Speed cameras are common throughout Singapore — always observe posted limits.

    01Do I need to return the car with a full tank?

    Yes. Please return the vehicle with the same fuel level as at pickup. If returned with less fuel as per during your pickup, you will be charged at our prevailing rates plus a service fee.

    02Can I return the car outside business hours?

    After-hours returns may be available with prior arrangement. Additional fees may apply. Please contact us in advance to confirm.

    03What happens if I return the car late?

    Late returns may incur additional charges. Contact us if you expect to be late. Charges apply for each additional hour or day beyond any grace period.

    01Do you provide 24/7 roadside assistance?

    Yes. We provide 24/7 roadside assistance for breakdowns, flat tyres, dead batteries, and other mechanical issues ONLY within Singapore. The contact number is provided with your rental agreement.

    02Can I modify or cancel my booking?

    Modifications and cancellations are subject to our terms and conditions. Changes made within 24 hours of pickup may incur charges. Please contact us as early as possible.

    03Do you offer delivery and collection services?

    Yes. We offer vehicle delivery and collection within Singapore for an additional fee, subject to availability. This must be arranged in advance.
